Swinnow Park, Wetherby

The Swinnow Park Wetherby site is a strategic development opportunity on the northern edge of Wetherby and allocated in the Leeds Local Plan.

Through a comprehensive master planning and a collaborative approach between the public and local stakeholders, this site will deliver a highly sustainable development providing 762 homes, a central community hub, local retail facilities, land for a primary school and community facilities.

The design of the development has been underpinned by the drive to create a well connected scheme which has health and well being at its core.   By creating locally tailored, interconnected community infrastructure, opportunities will be provided for people to interact and socialise and inherit a sense of ownership and belonging.

Key character areas have been established within the site which have driven bespoke architectural designs to the homes. This is specifically key to the Sandbeck area which flows through the heart of the site. This space is dominated by the existing landscape features of Sandbeck, Cockshot Wood and the nature reserve with runs through the heart of the development.
