The site has been identified as a suitable location and is a housing allocation under reference HG2-226. The allocation identifies a quantum of 1100 dwellings.
Working alongside Taylor Wimpey, outline planning consent was granted under reference 17/02594/OUT for the creation of a new community comprising up to 800 dwellings, a food store (A1) (up to 372 sq.m), primary school and public open spaces. Any design solution will be underpinned by the drive to create a highly sustainable, well connected scheme which has health and wellbeing at its core. By creating locally tailored, interconnected community infrastructure, opportunities will be provided for people to interact and socialise and inherit a sense of ownership.
Since the granting of the outline, JRP have been commissioned to design and deliver the detailed planning consent for the residential parcels developing various character areas, bespoke residential designs and high quality open space areas. Work on those designs are ongoing, liaising with local community groups and the Local Authority to ensure the creation of a high quality, bespoke residential development.
