Part 2/3 Architectural Assistant

JRP is a multi-disciplinary practice with over 48 years’ experience and a proven track record in the delivery of commercially successful developments. We specialise in residential property developments, planning, landscape services and have recently progressed into commercial and industrial architecture.

JRP Associates is seeking an architectural assistant/architect to join its team in Wakefield.

We are looking for a talented Part 2 architectural assistant or recent Part 3 architect to join our award-winning, small creative team.

Applicants should have a strong design sensibility, and excellent visual communication skills. They should also have some technical and detailing experience and an interest in developing technical design packages alongside other project roles.

The successful candidate will be proactive to meet deadlines with a consistent quality and standard of work; and we will take responsibility for your professional growth and gaining new skills.

Essential skills and attributes:
• AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills are essential.
• Dedicated, organised, self-motivated and willing to learn across a range of projects.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, including the ability to sketch and develop designs on paper as well as digitally.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and with a team.
• A strong interest in housing design and placemaking as we are a practice specialising in residential development.
• Can work under pressure and complete work to the highest standard for project deadlines.
